2020-11-26
Based on the Wujiang ceiling factory established in 2013, Armstrong has expanded the factory's operating area to 4,500 square meters to produce standard and custom-designed metal ceilings, including Armstrong Design Series metal ceiling solutions. Armstrong Design Series metal ceiling solutions provide architects with maximum design freedom while ensuring stable product performance. This metal ceiling production business can achieve an annual production capacity of up to 450,000 square meters of high-quality ceilings, and the first batch of metal ceiling products were delivered in July 2014.
Armstrong World Industries wins lawsuit against counterfeiters of ceiling products (Armstrong mineral fiber boards, etc.) in Beijing High Court
In July 2013, the Beijing Higher People's Court ruled that Anhui Armstrong Building Materials Co., Ltd. infringed upon the trademark rights of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. and engaged in unfair competition by using the well-known registered trademark "Armstrong" and the "Armstrong" mark on its Armstrong mineral fiber ceiling boards. Mr. Zhuang Minliang, Vice President of Global Group Affairs, Armstrong Asia Pacific, stated: "We are very pleased with this ruling. We will continue to cooperate with Chinese government departments and the judicial system to combat infringement on our well-known brands and products."

Don't overlook the superimposed effect of environmentally friendly building materials - Armstrong Environmental Pioneer
On December 1, the Ministry of Commerce officially implemented the newly issued "Green Sheet Material Procurement Standards." This is understood to be the first domestic standard regulating green sheet materials and the first Chinese standard aligned with international standards. The standard divides sheet materials into three grades: G1, G2, and G3. G1, the highest grade, refers to sheet materials produced without aldehyde-based adhesives, also known as aldehyde-free grade. G2 represents the highest environmental protection level internationally, referred to as safe aldehyde grade. G3 is the lowest level of green sheet materials. The formaldehyde release of G1 is very low, close to that of natural wood. The formaldehyde release of G2 is ≤0.3mg/L, and that of G3 is ≤0.5mg/L.
Standards for integrated ceilings in buildings will be implemented, bringing new opportunities for the industry
The new standard, officially implemented on December 1 this year, not only marks the beginning of a standardized market for the ceiling industry, putting an end to the uneven product quality, but also presents an opportunity for the healthy development of the Wangdian integrated ceiling industry. Li Mingzhong, director of the Wangdian Town Enterprise Service Center, told reporters that the healthy development of the integrated ceiling market and enterprises requires self-discipline from the industry and enterprises, as well as positive supervision and guidance from the local government to unite enterprises and promote the orderly development of the entire industry.
Rejecting counterfeit ceiling manufacturers; pursuing brand development
In today's fiercely competitive market, the rampant imitation of integrated ceiling products is becoming increasingly severe. Some unscrupulous businesses are taking advantage of the situation to deceive consumers with counterfeit products and make huge profits. Once a company produces a new product, similar products will emerge one after another. It is reported that some integrated ceiling companies have posted signs such as "No entry for competitors" and "No photography allowed" at the entrance of their exhibition halls, but these measures are ineffective, and plagiarism is rampant.
