Li Ka-shing refuted the claims that Hong Kong is a "city of the Li family" and that the Li family holds a "real estate hegemony." He stated that he foresaw the limitations of the Hong Kong market over 20 years ago, making him one of the first businessmen to invest overseas, and that Hong Kong investments are no longer his primary focus. However, as one of the few major real estate developers, Li Ka-shing also expressed concerns about the current property market.
